Bus route No. 23 to change as of November 1
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that bus route No. 23 will change as of November 1. It will go in Akmeņu Street and Jelgavas Street along the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia, and two new stops will be opened in Jelgavas Street – „Academic Centre of the University of Latvia” and „Trolleybus depot No. 2”.
As of November 1 bus No. 23 will go from the city centre by the existing route to Akmeņu Street, then in Akmeņu Street to Jelgavas Street, then in Jelgavas Street to Bauskas Street and further by the route to Baloži. On the way back from Baloži the buses will go by the existing route to Jelgavas Street, then in Jelgavas Street to Akmeņu Street, then in Akmeņu Street to Mūkusalas Street and further by the route to the terminal.
As of November 1, on bus route No. 23 stops „Kīleveina grāvis”, „Celtniecības pasaule” and „Laivu Street” will be closed in both directions and stop „Jelgavas Street” in direction from the city centre, and new stops will be opened in Jelgavas Street – „Academic Centre of the University of Latvia” in both directions and „Trolleybus depot No. 2” in direction from the city centre.
Departure times of bus No 23 from terminals will not change.
Trolleybuses going to/from trolleybus depot No. 2 will now let passengers to get off and on also at stop „Academic Centre of the University of Latvia” in both directions.
